HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMICS | Educational Consultant

 We work with a number of high school students, both in person and around the country. A number of high school students are either taking challenging classes like pre-calc, calc, or AP classes and need extra help with concepts, improving GPA, fine-tuning their study skills. A number of former students have gone on to Baylor, MIT, Cornell, Oxford, Princeton, and other schools, or have pursued their passions and career with a stronger foundation. College admissions and SAT/ACT sessions have also been a major focus at this level.

What we offer:

Study skills/Career goals: We help students fine tune study skills and begin to plan their next steps 

toward a career, college, or life after high school by identifying their interests, strengths, and giftings. We also help with critical thinking, problem analysis, and decision making.

Partnering with parents: While parents are often handing off more responsibility to the student, we 

continue to keep them notified of student progress, strengths, and goals. 

Content: Wheeler Enterprises offers support at the high school level in literature, writing, math (through 

calculus), science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science), AP US and American History, AP Human Geography, and PSAT/SAT/ACT/ISEE prep. 

Some examples: 

Wheeler Enterprises has worked with students on the New York Times summer writing competition and John Locke essays. Writing for college applications have focused on telling clear, compelling stories where students are able to connect with the programs they are applying to and showcase their personal experiences. Since we work with students’ learning styles and memory strategies, students often say the concepts are clearer and easier to understand than what they are learning in the classroom. Some of the projects we have worked on have ranged on discussions on Fahrenheit 451, Animal Farm, Shakespeare, Plato’s Republic, The Federalist Papers and the Constitution, the Cold War, and urban planning models.
